BJJ Fundamentals: Classes To Help You Master this Powerful Art!

BJJ FUNdamentals

With this program, students will be able to improve their overall jiu jitsu knowledge, improve their movement and coordination, and receive an introduction to more advanced jiu jitsu techniques.

Gracie’s BJJ FUNdamentals Program is tailor-made for newcomers and those keen on solidifying their BJJ framework, frequented by brand new beginners as well as more advanced martial artists looking to refine or refresh certain skills. It is taught with a step by step process focusing on proper technique and execution. What you learn from this class will establish the foundational groundwork from which you grow and advance. Fundamental techniques and skills are VERY effective when applied with precision, the correct timing, weight distribution and proper control.

Our BJJ FUNdamentals Program zeroes in on critical ground techniques and self-defense skills, all the while promoting physical conditioning and personal growth. More than simply learning movements, you build motor skills and manual dexterity, foster teamwork, and develop defensive capabilities, preparing you for challenges both on and off the mats. Here, you’ll find an encouraging environment where you can master the essential techniques integral to BJJ.

Our Fundamentals Classes Help Boost Confidence and Focus!

The BJJ FUNdamentals Program is focused and repetitive to allow attendees to better retain the information. This helps to minimize injuries during training because of the new ways we are learning to move our bodies. We’ll teach you how to execute these actions without putting your training partners at unnecessary risk, as well as safe ways to react when you, yourself, are put in a tricky position. Awareness of timing, including when to tap out, is a learnt skill. Roll etiquette is also a major theme in BJJ FUNdamentals.

Gracie Charleston’s BJJ FUNdamentals is designed to:

●     Focus on the core techniques that every jiu jitsu practitioner should know

●     Set the groundwork in movement patterning and conceptual understanding

●     Instill learned behaviors and consistent technique through conditioning

Students are highly encouraged to ask questions in order to improve their individual understanding of the techniques and positions. All students – from white belt to black belt – are encouraged to participate in this program.

To use less, you need to know more.”
